Authentic Germanium Tone
Staying true to the original "Centaur" circuit form, the Alcmene® features NOS 1N34A Germanium Clipping Diodes. This ensures the pedal delivers the authentic voice purists demand.
-
From Clean to Mean: Capable of a variety of tones, from a gentle, transparent clean boost that preserves your amp's character to a full-fledged Germanium saturated distortion when the gain is cranked.
-
Active Treble Control: Precisely sculpt your top-end frequencies. Whether you need to cut harshness or boost clarity, this active control puts the final polish on your sound.
-
Gold-Plated Integrity: The circuit board is gold-plated, ensuring perfect signal integrity and top-tier performance for years to come.
Enhanced Headroom
One of the most notable features of the Alcmene® is its integrated Charge Pump.
-
Internal Voltage Doubling: While powered by a standard 9V supply, the internal voltage rails are boosted.
-
Dynamic Response: This higher internal voltage provides massive headroom and touch sensitivity, giving you the open, wide response associated with the rigs of legends like John Mayer, Nels Cline, and Joe Perry.
